You work with AI. Yet you haven't changed a single workflow. You're stuck in old habits. But at some point, that means hitting a wall at full speed. Inertia Kills Companies.
What do we see when working with AI?
1️⃣ Obsession with Cost Savings
Managers have this inertia. 'AI will replace 30% of people by the end of the year!' In other words, we expect that the scope and the way we work won't actually change; we'll just gradually automate it.
I'll put aside the question of whether AI is technologically advanced enough to replace people. In marketing and sales, we see that we have to do many more different activities to acquire a customer. We still have a lot of work, despite all the changes we've made thanks to AI in the last six months.
2️⃣ Obsession with Prompts
Specialists have this inertia. We're doing everything as before; we've just introduced AI in some areas. For example, as an advisor. Or as part of brainstorming. And that's enough for us. We're playing the 'better prompt' game. And again we are not changing our workflows.
And let's be honest... if management is focused on cost-cutting, I wouldn't change anything significant either. My only reward would be a reduced workload or a reorganization. It's a self-reinforcing cycle of inertia.
Where do you stand today?
In previous newsletters, you received our AI maturity model. We developed for it AI map — a structured questionnaire that tells you where you are and what step makes sense specifically for you.
Because AI isn't going anywhere. The valuation of AI companies on the stock market might be a bubble. Tokens might be more expensive in the short term. But the technology isn't going anywhere. And neither will changes in workflows.
I don't expect the situation to stabilize until around 2030. Until then, expect a new model, a new tool, and new waves of FOMO on LinkedIn every month.
At such a pace, learning becomes outdated before you can even finish it. At the same time, that doesn't mean there's no point in learning. On the contrary. It just Through learning, you have the chance to overcome your own inertia..
That's why AI Marketing Lab and AI Design Lab are not one-off courses. The price also includes recordings of all past and future cycles. Instead of a one-time change, you get long-term access to current practical use-cases in marketing and design.
What's next?
1️⃣ Fill out your AI map — it takes a few minutes and you'll receive a self-assessment and your first step.
2️⃣ If you're dealing with the inertia of the entire team or company, MAKE CUTS.
